EUROPEAN SUMMER FILM SCHOOL (ESFS)

To honor the 65th anniversary of the foundation of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade has opened a contest for this year’s film students’ workshop - The European Summer Film School (ESFS). The holding of Film Schools is an occasion for between 8 and 12 film students from around the world to gather in Belgrade and listen to personal film experiences of renowned and active filmmakers, mostly coming from Southeast Europe. With the support of a mentor and under a topic of his/her choosing, international and students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade join hands to shoot short and simple film exercises.

These participants will represent the cinemas, the tradition and reputation of the film schools in their respective countries of origin; they would exchange knowledge and their individual talents, learn from each other, establish long-lasting friendships, and will one day become the future and the strength of international filmmaking.

The workshop will be held between September 17 and 21.

ESFS covers the cost of accommodation, meals, shooting and workshop.

The contest opens on April 30 and closes on May 31.
